I love writing stories for girls (of all ages). I enjoy reading the classics and autobiographies. I'm delighted when I get to take pictures of tiny life, or paint imperfectly with color that moves me. Walking under a tree as the sun drips through the leaves is especially wonderful with my travel buddy, my husband.

Moments I cultivate like these draw me inside the presence of the King, Jesus, the One I willingly follow. He is the most beautiful person I know. That is why I am passionate to have long talks about Jesus with people who have longings and questions. My hope is that every culture would hear the invitation to follow Jesus as King, and become like Him in tiny small ways, over an extended life journey, through a wide love that transforms the soul.

I grew up on a farm where summer evenings were just right for water skiing and winters were harsh enough that one time my dad drove 12 miles in a blizzard, to pick me up from school with a snowplow.  When I was eight my mom painted my bedroom yellow (which I loved). When I was twelve my dad bought me a blue bowling ball (which I still have). I graduated with a class of only sixteen people, so I have experienced “big fish” moments in “little pond” contexts (please cue the 80's music, a spotlight, and some wind for my permed hair as I climb the choir risers in the old school gymnasium). Now, I continue to be that little girl who looks out at the cold, wintry world with a curious delight, wondering what may be happening under the blanket of snowy silence.
