Kami Nadeen
Author of the Raynell Book Series

The first story I wrote about Raynell was in preparation for a girls campout. I had been asked to share on the themes we were teaching to our high school girls throughout the state — themes of identity, beauty, and purpose. Wondering how I could possibly bring such ideas to the level of nine to eleven year olds, I felt the Lord whisper to my heart, “Tell them a story . . .” And so, Raynell was born.

Now, Raynell’s character has continued to learn from Messenger, the Holy Spirit, as have I. It’s no secret that Raynell’s story mirrors my own. It is a joy to be vulnerable on the page when it is helping so many girls become aware of the lies of Dark Voice, and the True Words that reveal them. We all need those times when Messenger’s wind blows those lies away until all we believe is that we are loved and precious to the Good King.
